Creative Directions

Students choose one direction per week based on their interests and age.
1 / Creative Art Studio

Suggested Age: 5–12

Price: Half-Day Camp~CAD 239 / Full-Day Camp~CAD 389 + HST/Week

A playful introduction to drawing, painting, and creative storytelling.

 

Students explore:

 

• drawing characters, animals, and imaginative scenes

• watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media painting

• storytelling through illustration

• experimenting with colors, textures, and materials

• outdoor sketching and observation

 

Projects may include imaginative paintings, story illustrations, and mixed-media artwork.

2 / Fashion & Jewelry Design Studio

Suggested Age: 6–14

Price: Half-Day Camp~CAD 239 / Full-Day Camp~CAD 389 + HST/Week

Students explore how designers transform ideas into fashion and wearable art.

 

Students learn:

 

• fashion illustration and clothing design

• jewelry design and material exploration

• pattern, color, and texture design

• inspiration from nature and everyday objects

 

Projects may include fashion sketches, handmade jewelry pieces, and wearable art experiments.

3 / Anime & Character Design Studio

Suggested Age: 9–18

Price: Half-Day Camp~CAD 239 / Full-Day Camp~CAD 389 + HST/Week

 

Students explore storytelling through character creation and visual narratives.

 

Students learn:

 

• character design and development

• facial expressions and poses

• storytelling through visual scenes

• manga and comic drawing techniques

 

Projects may include original characters, comic panels, and concept sheets.

4 / Architecture & Design Lab

Suggested Age: 9–18

Price: Half-Day Camp~CAD 239 / Full-Day Camp~CAD 389 + HST/Week

Students explore creative thinking through architecture and spatial design.

 

Students learn:

 

• architectural sketching and perspective drawing

• spatial and environmental design ideas

• landscape design concepts

• creative model building techniques

 

Students may also participate in outdoor observation and site sketching.

5 / Digital Art & Animation Studio

Suggested Age: 10–18

Price: Half-Day Camp~CAD 239 / Full-Day Camp~CAD 389 + HST/Week

 

Students explore digital creativity and visual storytelling.

 

Students learn:

 

• digital drawing techniques

• concept art and illustration

• basic animation principles

• storytelling through digital media

 

Projects may include digital illustrations, storyboards, and animation experiments.

6 / Art Competition & Portfolio Studio

Suggested Age: 12–18

Price: Half-Day Camp~CAD 299 / Full-Day Camp~CAD 569 + HST/Week

Designed for students interested in deeper artistic exploration.

 

Students learn:

 

• concept development and idea building

• advanced drawing and painting techniques

• composition and visual storytelling

• project planning for competitions

 

Projects may include competition artwork, portfolio pieces, and large-scale installation art experiments.

Drama Camp

August Only

Morning Session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Suggested Age: 4–12

Price: Half-Day Camp~CAD 239 + HST/Week

 

Students explore storytelling through theatre and performance.

 

Activities include:

 

• acting exercises

• stage movement

• storytelling games

• collaborative performances

 

Drama helps students build confidence, creativity, and communication skills.

At LinX Creative Art Studio, students explore drawing, design, animation, fashion, architecture, and theatre while developing imagination, creative thinking, and confidence.

 

Our programs follow a small-group studio model, allowing every student to receive personalized guidance while developing their own creative ideas.

 

Many artworks created during the summer will have the opportunity to be showcased at the 2026 Atlantic Youth Art Festival.

Important Note: While each week features multiple  directions, each student may enroll in only one direction per week. Switching between directions is not permitted during the same week.

Daily Schedule

Morning Creative Camp 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Students develop projects within their chosen creative direction. Outdoor activities are included during the morning session.

 

Lunch Break 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Students relax and socialize before the afternoon session.

 

Afternoon Programs 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Students may continue creative studio work or participate in academic enrichment programs. Outdoor activities are also included in the afternoon.

A Typical Day at Camp

Students experience a balanced day of studio learning, outdoor exploration, and creative project development.

 

Activities may include:

• instructor demonstrations and technique learning

• hands-on creative project work

• outdoor sketching and observation

• collaborative art activities

• personalized instructor feedback

ATLANTIC YOUTH ART FESTIVAL

During Summer 2026, we will host The First Atlantic Youth Art Festival art show with both students and instructors. Our young artists are encouraged to set up their own art shows at home after the last day of camp.

OUR TEAM

Experienced educators and teaching artists spark imagination, creativity and lifelong connections with art. Dedicated to arts education, our instructors guide students to learn and to develop individual artistic style.

What to Bring:

  • All art supplies are provided.

  • Pack a snack, lunch, and water bottle. (please avoid packing NUTS in order to keep our friends with allergies safe)

FAQS

DO STUDENTS NEED PREVIOUS ART EXPERIENCE?

No prior experience is required.

HOW DO STUDENTS CHOOSE THEIR DIRECTION?

Students select one creative direction per week.

CAN MY CHILD TAKE THE SAME DIRECTION FOR MULTIPLE WEEKS?

Yes. Each week introduces new themes and projects.

SHOULD MY CHILD BRING ART SUPPLIES?

All art supplies are provided except for a sketchbook. Children may bring a sketchbook (9”x12” spiral preferred) or one may be purchased during online registration for $15.

WHAT TIME CAN MY CHILD ARRIVE IN THE MORNING?

Our Studio opens at 8:30am with each session beginning promptly at 9:00am. Students need to be picked up promptly at 5:00pm. Early 8:30am early drop-off and 6:00pm late pick-up options are available at an additional cost.

EMERGENCY FORM & SIGN IN/OUT

By registering online, you have completed the Emergency Form. Phone registrations must complete the form on the first day of camp. Students must be signed both in and out daily. Permission must be given in writing before the start of the session for someone other than the parent or guardian to sign a child in/out.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?

Making art can get messy, especially for small children. While all the supplies your child will use during art camp are child safe, they are not all washable. We ask that you dress your child in old clothing.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please understand that our camp sizes are kept small to facilitate learning, resulting in most camp sessions quickly filling. Last minute cancellations keep other kids from enjoying our program. This is an important issue, thank you for your understanding. CANCELLATION POLICY BEFORE CAMP BEGINS on July 6, 2026: Any cancellations seven (7) days prior to the start of the session, the studio will refund tuition less a $75 cancellation fee per session, per student. CANCELLATION POLICY AFTER CAMP BEGINS: Any cancellations seven (7) days prior to the start of the session, the studio will refund tuition less $150 fee per session, per student. If you cancel seven (7) days or less prior to the session start date, you will forfeit your full tuition. SWITCHING SESSIONS: There will be no fee charged to switch sessions before the start of camp on July 6, 2026. After July 7, a $35 fee will be charged provided the studio is notified seven (7) days before the session starts. If you wish to change sessions and there is no availability, you will be refunded your tuition less $150 cancellation provided the studio was notified seven (7) days prior to the start date of the session. COVID MASK POLICY AND CANCELLATIONS: We reserve the right to update our mask requirement policy at any time based on infection rates and CDC recommendations. Parents will be emailed prior to class with any mask requirement changes. Our cancellation policy stands in the event that we add/remove our mask requirement.

Students may combine the morning creative camp with optional afternoon academic programs offered through our learning center.

This flexible option allows students to experience both creative exploration and academic growth during the summer.
